After the rush of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, today is Giving Tuesday. This movement is a global day of giving which kicks off the charitable season, when many people focus on their philanthropic efforts. You can learn more about Giving Tuesday at www.givingtuesday.org.
ARGI may not be volunteering today, but we are sharing our time and talent throughout the month of December. Though it can be easy to get caught up in the stress of the holidays, we are focusing our efforts on compassion, giving and charity.
On December 2, ARGI Louisville employees are spending the day at Mall St. Matthews and Oxmoor Mall to help with the Salvation Army Angel Tree.
On December 20, ARGI Louisville will be volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House for Adopt a Meal.
The Louisville office is also sponsoring 12 families for Family Scholar House Adopt-A-Family program.
On December 14, Cincinnati employees are donating their time to volunteer for Toys for Tots.
The Cincinnati office is also collecting plastic grocery bags and pill/vitamin bottles for Matthew 25 ministries.
The Bowling Green office will be collecting toys for the Salvation Army’s Forgotten Angels. Forgotten Angels are those kids who were not selected from Angel Tree, or selected but did not receive gifts. They are also planning an afternoon to help bag toys collected for the Angel Tree.
Each member of the Indianapolis team is participating in charitable activities on their own or with their families.
The Grand Rapids team volunteered in the Mel Trotter Thanksgiving banquet which feeds over 2000 homeless people in the Grand Rapids area.
ARGI Grand Rapids will be volunteering for Angel Tree by distributing toys.
The Grand Rapids office will also be working with Heart of West Michigan United Way by adopting a family to sponsor. They will be donating presents, as well as food for their holiday.
We wish everyone a joyous season of giving!
